Community Fundraising Events Scheduled for January

The local community will host several fundraising events throughout January to support various charitable causes. These events aim to bring together residents to contribute to their chosen initiatives while fostering community spirit.

The events include a bake sale on January 15 at the community center and a charity run on January 22 at Riverside Park. All proceeds will go towards local food banks and youth programs, according to organizers. Admission to the charity run is $20, while the bake sale will feature a variety of homemade goods.

Local businesses, including Big City’s Bakery and Active Fitness, are contributing to the events by providing sponsorship and refreshments. Officials from the local council are also involved in promoting these activities to encourage community participation.

This series of events is part of an ongoing effort to support families and individuals in need, building on last year’s successful initiatives which raised over $10,000 combined. The community has a history of generous support for charity, promoting a culture of giving.

Residents interested in participating can register for the charity run online at the community website or attend the bake sale directly on January 15. More details can be found in flyers around the neighborhood or by contacting the community center.
